Anyone a little lost due to the dual scenes?

I liked this movie. But I thought I was going totally crazy for a while when a few scenes that were shown over again, then I listened closely and realized that there were different narrations.

"Let's have some yum yums, I've made snacks"... Dane Cook

That was my favorite part of the film. It was great to see the same situations from two different points of view. The narration was so honest and reminiscent of my own life. So many people do things that don't make sense to other people, but if we could hear what was going on in their heads, it would all fit. I think this is my new favorite coming of age film.

I thought the technique was very well done. It didn't throw me.

So you are just saying you are not listening when *watching* a movie? And then post about that on the board?

Thank you for your contribution...

Some people didn't like the scenes being repeated, but I loved it. It was really important to let both characters speak for themselves. And, after watching multiple times, I've begun to believe that Bryce really did like Juli all along...he just refused to admit it to himself, let alone his peers or family.

I think it's padding, meaning they repeat the scene back-to-back.
