Why didnt they try this in the lab at the end..
Since zombies are attracted to noise.. Why not make every phone (landline) ring and distract the zombies away?

I also wondered why they didn't have a phone inside the inner lethal disease vault, and why they didn't appear to have an intercom system instead of relying on phones. Someone could also have opened up a fire escape from outside and left a cd player near the entrance to lure the zombies out.
I always wondered why they didn't make a list or at least discussed which diseases was appropriate to get from the vault.
I know the intention was to get the doctor guy in the vault, but still, it could have bene useful for them all to know which specific ones they were after.
I'll be good I swear... I'll never see a movie ever again.
