That zombie clicking his teeth!

In that scene where Pitt's character is injecting himself....OMG that was just about one of the creepiest things to me! Freaked me OUT!!! Kudos to the makeup folks and the actor. I would have had to start laughing if I were filming that scene.

lol the zombiefied scientist looked a bit like that great actor James Cromwell :)

One thing I just learned...right after you watch the movie at home with your wife/girlfriend and go to bed, start making that chattering noise when she starts falling asleep. It's good for a few laughs.

reply

Okay...now that is just mean..I will think about that all night...and yes, I read some posts complaining about the zombies not being all scary and in pieces...to me that clicking of the teeth was worse than any zombie I have ever seen.

I approve this 👍

Something about a human clicking his teeth is even scarier than a sharks.

So true

That reminds me of 'The Mist', that Stephen King movie. The dog sized spiders had almost human teeth, it made them extra horrifying.

...then whoa, differences...

Your worst fear is probably being locked away in a room full of crackheads then!

reply

I agree! I thought that was the most frightening Zombie in the entire film. The teeth clacking and that screeching!

reply

I actually thought it was kind of corny. Guess I'm the weirdo, but that's okay. I'm happy that it was effective and creeped some people out. I have seen so many zombie movies, starting from Night of the Living Dead when I was a kid, that it didn't phase me. Now, 28 days later, in the theater scared me!

Ask anyone who has a cat. Cats will sit at a window and when they spy a prey (bird or small rodent) they get into a frenzied state with similar teeth chattering. Some say it is frustration when it cannot get to said prey... others think that the cat, in its primal brain pan, is living out the "kill" and these are his death bites. All in all this feral-like action is very fitting to the Zombie frustration at seeing but not able to connect with his prey.

reply

Never owned a cat but that is interesting trivia. My neighbor's cat amuses me when it crouches to try to get at his prey.

reply

Never quite happened with any of my cats. They do get prepared to attack but no teeth chattering involved ever.
