hey honey thanks for the call,oh btw you got 3 people killed.

I would have saved that little tidbit when she made me feel guilty for not taking out the trash.

yeah well remember when you called me? your phone call waked up the zombies and your call ended with 3 people dying horrible deaths. now, I'm going to take out the trash honey.

reply

That's the kind of *beep* that a woman does. Wait until it's something small like taking out the trash or picking up milk, and then hit you with some below the belt *beep* to start a fight.

I would have told her right then. DON'T CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN. YOU JUST GOT THREE PEOPLE (maybe more) KILLED. WAIT FOR MY CALL LIKE I SAID.

But, you know, people handle things differently.

reply

Yeah, women are to blame. Not like he should have put his phone on VIBRATE.

He did say he would call her... but yes, he should have had it on vibrate. It was both of their dumbass faults. A perfect couple. Both equally retarded.

reply

And then she would counter with...."Why were you too stupid to put your phone on silence mode when in a known dangerous zombie infested area?"

I don't know what work he did when he was employed by the UN, but this certainly can't be his first time in the field.

reply

Agreed!

The wife's an untrained civilian, and he didn't even tell her not to call him. He's a combat veteran, and has no excuse for having an unsecured noisemaker on his person.

reply

Hm... It's very telling that you blame the wife for the death of the soldiers even though ultimately it was Gerry's fault for not turning off his cell phone.

Let's use a different example... If you go to a theater, forget to turn your phone off or silence it, and someone who didn't know you were in a theater (much like how Gerry's wife didn't know he was in a dangerous situation that required silence), would it be the caller's fault that 30 moviegoers were pissed at you because your phone rang in the middle of an important scene in the movie? I think most people would say, no, it's your fault for not turning your phone off or silencing it.

reply

He is definitely at fault for not turning it off, but it's not true that she didn't know he was in a dangerous situation that required silence. That's what he left to do -- work in the zombie fields.

I watched this just the other night and I've said this on another post - Gerry called her FIRST, and lost the signal. She was returning his call when things got nuts and people got killed.
That phone really should have been turned down or on vibrate, but I suppose if the whole world goes to *beep* and there are zombies with super-human speed outside your door, perhaps some of the little things might slip your mind.

I think there's a big difference in pissing movie goers during a movie and getting people killed. Think he had a lot more on his mind than thinking of his cell phone. He did say he would call her. She should have known better after all those years of him working in dangerous situations.

I lean more towards her fault. I don't think he forgot to turn it off. I think she is such a worrying witch that he knew if she called and he didn't answer she would freak out. They made that whole family annoying. But I think that's why he didn't turn it off.

reply

She is stupid regardless and the looks on her face. Shes ugly.

reply

agreed, entired movie i cant stop but feel discomfort and revolting when she appears... she just got that bitchy looks on her that u wish zombie got her or something.... why cant they just cast jolie to be his wife.. atleast we can see some jiggly while running

His whole family were annoying. His little girl screaming for her blanket at the start of the film, his dumbass wife. Always the best people go first unfortunately...

reply

Perhaps Pitt based it on his RL family!! Just kidding!😀

reply

Totally agree with OP.

reply

His own damn fault though. He called her first. Couldn't get through so he hung up but she certainly did hear it ring and answered. Now she's worried like hell and would obviously try to reach him later. He should have realized that and turned his phone off because she might try to call him back and they really needed to keep noise to a minimum.

It's hardly her fault. She has no idea what he's going through. All she knows is that he's out there and is most likely in danger. A phone call in which she cannot confirm that he's okay would be enough to ensure that she would try to reach him.

The death of those soldiers is on Gerry.

What was crazier was the zombies were SLEEPING?
