I'm so ashamed . . .BTW how does this end?

*Spoiler Alert*

I was pretty bored throughout the first hour or so of this film. The zoom-in's of the fake ghost pictures where kinda creepy I guess but even those lose their zing after it is revealed that they're created by the brother. So I was really caught off gaurd when the cell phone footage was revealed. It REALLY creeped me out. Typically the paranormal stuff NEVER EVER bothers me but I had to stop watching this one after that scene.

Four tylenol p.m.'s and two hours of Nick at Nite later and I'm still freaked out.

And now that I've read everyone else's comments I'm a little confused. Did I psych myself out? Was I just startled and I've been building it up in my head since then? Is this a *beep* movie becuase there's only one real scare? Or is it brilliant becuase it lulls you into the false sense of security and then hits you with a bloated corpse that comes straight outta left field?

I think so. I was only kind of watching it this morning, while typing up lesson plans. Then I really started paying attention when she saw the bloated vision of herself at Lake Mungo. I think they throw you off by admitting the brother faked stuff. But then it goes back at the very end and shows you those "fake" pictures actually had her in them. Like the one at the lake, when the brother was wearing her jacket, it shows that the other couple actually did have footage of her on their camera. So she really was there the whole time.

I totally agree that the footage of the bloated corpse was creepy though.
