that face.... ***SPOILERS***

holy s*** that was one of the most intense, unnerving scenes i've seen in movies. the whole build up was perfect, with the dad informing us on what was going on and the video playing at the same time. the slow realization of who it actually was topped the scene off, i can't remember if it was alice walking towards the figure or the figure walking towards her but i loved how it was shot from afar first and the camera brings us closer to the figure.

i admit i didn't actually click who it was when the close up was done, but as soon as the scene flashed back to alice's dead body found and then it switched back to the still picture of alice's dead self looking in the camera, i felt major MAJOR chills run up and down my spine and admittedly couldn't move for a few seconds. this was in the dark watching by myself late at night and i haven't felt that so damn spooked in such a long time. there's just something extremely unsettling about facing your own dead self.

there were still a few things that bugged me- the bedroom sex scene felt unnecessary, the "twist" with the brother was stupid and the playbacks of the videos shot back at the house were extremely blurry, i couldn't even make out what the hell i was suppose to look at when the camera zoomed right in. but i really give credit to the movie for that unnerving scene. quite possibly my favorite scare in all horror movies now

That scene was kind of creepy. It was the best moment of the film, that's for sure. Overall, I found this film to be average, though. It isn't great but definitely isn't bad. If you're a fan of "found footage" horror movies I see no reason you shouldn't enjoy this.
