I give it a low-budge "at least you tried" credit. The idea that they were all psychically feeling each others' presences across time was mildly interesting, but I just didn't find it compelling. None of it gave me a creepy feeling at all. Perhaps you have to be a fan of fake paranormal investigation ghostbuster reality tv? The image on her buried phone at the lake just made me laugh, with its one eye closed. Like they told the actress, okay, try to look creepy. I guess ghosts just aren't my thing. I find it creepier in the type of stories where characters think they've interacted with a person who they later find out had been dead.
On the other hand, Paranormal Activity did give me a feeling of dread, in spite of the mainstream cheesiness.
And no, I watched it alone in the dark!
