I haven't seen the film yet, but, looking at the cover, the monster in the background directly above Brooks looks exactly like Rawhead Rex! This might have been brought up before.

I doubt anyone else has even heard of Rawhead Rex. I brought it up on the horror boards once and only one person knew what I was talking about.

Why so cereal?
That was just the impression I got from the horror boards. Usually, you can rattle off some very low-budget, made for TV horror film from the 70's and at least a couple people know it. But when I talked about Rawhead Rex nobody knew. Maybe it was just a fluke and none of the aficionados even READ the post.
But also, since my brother and I rented it back in like 87 or something, I hadn't even heard it mentioned by anyone.

Yeah Rawhead Rex is awesome...I remember catching it on Sci-fi sometime in the late 90's...The monster was so frekin awesome and randomly just happened to show up places. I saw the cover of Jack Brooks and immediately thought it resembled Rawhead Rex. Long live RR!
