This would've been the perfect installment to the series if...
- Aggie's role wasn't drastically cut down
- Sophie was actually in the movie
- they had used the Halloweentown theme music (although they did play it for a second when Gwen was talking to Aggie in the pot). That theme music was what made the first 2 movies feel like Halloweentown movies.
- the movie score was better. The background music of the 3rd and this film was not as whimsical-sounding as the first 2 films.
- the way the villains were handled at the end was better. I couldn't take it seriously when they were just trapped in the witches glass while making funny facial expressions as if their faces were pressed against the glass.
...and finally...
- THEY HADN'T REPLACED KIMBERLY. Sara Paxton is cool but come on, replacing the main actress is just plain ridiculous.
Other than that, this movie was an improvement from the 3rd film. We actually got to see Halloweentown again, and it almost looked as big as it did in the first movie. We even got to see Benny again. My favorite was that they brought back the big pumpkin, though they changed it a bit. And we also got to seen Marnie time travel again. The masks and costume were much better than the ones in the Halloweentown High. But the overall feel of the movie still wasn't as good as the first 2 films. I really hope they make another one someday, though I highly doubt it since Disney mostly spends their budget on music-themed stuff now.
