This would've been the perfect installment to the series if...

- Aggie's role wasn't drastically cut down
- Sophie was actually in the movie
- they had used the Halloweentown theme music (although they did play it for a second when Gwen was talking to Aggie in the pot). That theme music was what made the first 2 movies feel like Halloweentown movies.
- the movie score was better. The background music of the 3rd and this film was not as whimsical-sounding as the first 2 films.
- the way the villains were handled at the end was better. I couldn't take it seriously when they were just trapped in the witches glass while making funny facial expressions as if their faces were pressed against the glass.
...and finally...
- THEY HADN'T REPLACED KIMBERLY. Sara Paxton is cool but come on, replacing the main actress is just plain ridiculous.

Other than that, this movie was an improvement from the 3rd film. We actually got to see Halloweentown again, and it almost looked as big as it did in the first movie. We even got to see Benny again. My favorite was that they brought back the big pumpkin, though they changed it a bit. And we also got to seen Marnie time travel again. The masks and costume were much better than the ones in the Halloweentown High. But the overall feel of the movie still wasn't as good as the first 2 films. I really hope they make another one someday, though I highly doubt it since Disney mostly spends their budget on music-themed stuff now.

I couldn't agree more.
I absolutely love the theme they played for the first two films.

To be honest I don't think I liked anything about this film. = [
Maybe the fact that they actually went to Halloweentown in this film, unlike the third, but even Halloweentown itself seemed different.
I loved Kimberly J Brown as Marnie. It's one thing to replace the MAIN CHARACTER, but to have the second main character only in it for a few minutes is nonsense. = /
Horrible film, I don't even consider it a Halloweentown movie, I only really love the first two, and I have come to also like the third because Kim was in it. And although it wasn't as good as the first two, it's alot better than the Disney Channel Original Movies that came out after that.
Disney sucks now.

Haha I LOVE the Halloweentown theme music in the first 2 films. It was what gave those movies that whimsical "Halloween" feel. Without the theme and the reduction/disappearance of characters/castmembers, the last 2 films didn't feel right. And yeah, although we got to see it again, Halloweentown still felt a little off in this film. I just find it funny how Halloweentown itself kept changing lol. It went from big in the 1st movie to a small little town in the 2nd movie and slightly back to big again in the 4th. But better than nothing like the 3rd movie.

Since I love the series so much, I was able to let everything slide about the last 2 films except for the replacement of Marnie. They could've made a 5th movie that would maybe revolve around Marnie's marriage in Halloweentown or something. But replacing Kimberly J. Brown with Sara Paxton pretty much ruined the chances of that.
