It's really not that bad...

It wasn't great but I think if there was a different way of finishing the movie, then it would've fared better with audiences and film buffs. It had all the elements of a crime/character drama until the lame hollywood shootout in the last 30 minutes of the film. Anyone else agree?

"It's too long" #1 dumbest complaint for a movie not being any good.

Yeah i thought it started well but ended up being just average there didnt seem to be any real reason for Cage to turn good it was pretty unbelievable.

There was a reason. Cage made the point at the beginning of the movie that he would like to find someone. He did, and he found it was overpowering. Guys who have experienced change after meeting someone they can love will understand this. Cage's actions demonstrate that he did not just find her attractive, someone to have dinner with. He fell in love with her. Guys who live their lives entirely for themselves will not.
