Best since Berkeley Square?
This is turning into a real gem of a series... well written three dimensional characters, with the right balance of comedy, pathos and drama. Is this the best costume drama since Berkeley Square(1998)?

shareHow good was the last epsiosde? The emotional power and impact of the last 15 minutes was overwhelming!
shareI nearly cried watching that and I never cry watching TV (well, twice that I can remember). Was it Barnardo's who took on those children or some other organisation because I think Barnardo's were involved in a similar scheme to migrate children and it's got a lot of retrospective criticism. I could not believe how cold-hearted that woman was.

I so wanted Father Melia and Iris to get together and adopt those poor children.
Plus who wants to take bets on May getting pregnant?
I don't know about the pregnancy. I do see her ending up with Frank. Finally seeing his good qualities, etc.
shareWith the way the last episode ended, I wonder if he won't become disillusioned with his faith and leave the priesthood, which might enable them to marry. (They'd probably have to move away, though.)
