I remember loving this right up until Season 3 and then completely losing interest.

they had a good thing going, and superheroes/mutants/metahumans were just becoming the big thing. somehow they messed up the formula. I forget how.

STRINGING IT OUT FOR FOUR SEASONS....SOME STORIES SHOULD BE TOLD.THEN ENDED.

Season 1 was so amazing, and they did a fairly good job with Season 2 as well but sometime in Season 3 they may have gone a little overboard.

It already started its downhill slide near the end of season 1. From there, the show just dragged. Characters became backstabbing and unlikable. Sylar was massively overused. The stories were dull and wore out their welcome.
