Berry Krebbs
Anyone feel sorry for this guy? I did!
Definitely a sympathetic character. I think we were all supposed to feel sorry for him - but like his lawyer said - he made a choice, and it was the wrong one. "As an adult, you're supposed to walk away."
So after he went through with it, I didn't feel sorry for him in that regard, but in that a split-second decision uprooted and destroyed his life, and you could see how helpless he felt - I thought that was sad.
The whole thing is confused because the girl was misguided and almost evil, but his actions were unjustifiable and morally wrong. One ends up feeling more sorry for Mr. Krebbs than for the girl.
Also, both of them were the victims, and both were the perpetrators, at once. Interesting.
If she's a victim, I'm a vermicious knid.

In your right hand, there are pleasures forever. --Psalm 16:11
I felt sorry for him since, at first, he tried blowing her advances off. After all, she was stalking him. Then he screwed up and he knew it after it was done. She was able to hold that against him. He tells her to keep in quiet, and when she doesn't get her way, she ruins his life. She is not a victim, and this is where the law is messed up. It is supposed to protect, but what about when the protected becomes the aggressor? Even though she wanted it, he gets the 10 years in jail because she is 16. His career is over. At worst, she probably got her convertable taken away for a year. That makes me angry.
