What ruined it for me

I hope I'm not the only one but, did anyone else disliked the music? I think it was awful, specially when he undressed himself in front of a mirror, it was waaaay too exaggerated, also I didn't like the ending..

Sorry if you don't understand me, English is not my language..

you´re not the only one, those 2 points are my minus- points for the film, too, though they don´t ruin it for me, because music nerved me only in parts, not the whole time, and the ending was disappointing, but still okay. i just wish it would be different, a longer info- text for example, instead of the decease- scene.

but i didn´t watch it as a bio, for me it didn´t matter what their names were; they just stand for people which were/are trapped in gender roles and discrimination.

i´m not english, too, hope that you understand me. (and write muuuch less than i would do in my own language)

Yes I feel the same way, this doesn't deserve any award (only the best actress in supporting role)

What didnt you like about the music? I dont recall it exactly but do remember thinking at the time it was nice and suited the mood.

As for the ending, do you mean the scarf flying away free? I liked it so I'm sorry that you were disappointed. I may have got a lil bit teary but it didnt leave me feeling upset for hours. I just thought everything in this film came together really well (for me).

It was way too exaggerated for me, really dramatic for something so simple.. By ending I mean that, the lines at the end and the death..

reply

This was based on a true story. She died. This is real life. Not everything has a happy ending in real life.

reply

I've never said that I would like a happy ending, I was saying that for me it was far really predictable

reply

Wow, a real life story is predictable. You don't say.

Saying this was based on a true story is a bit of a stretch though, the movie was based on a fictional book that had little to nothing to do with the people it was inspired by. I don't know where you're from but this is pretty common knowlegde in the LGBT community here in Denmark where I live.
The book was not a biography = Fiction

I cant say I noticed it being over dramatic. Now Interstellar I found the score so overblown I walked out.

reply

I thought it was good. Not great, just good.

I thought the soundtrack was fantastic....I ordered it after seeing the film. Desplat is one of the greats.
