Was there a clear explanation of the cause of Einar/Lili's nosebleeds/stomach pains? I always thought that it was the physical manifestation of her struggling to hide who she truly was. Is that accurate?

I believe it was supposed to be symbolic of her getting her period. Cramps and bleeding. It was Lili's body manifesting feminine physicality the only way it could. At least that is what I got from it. I hope that was a correct assumption?

I think it was panic and stress.

I agree, esp. as one of the doctors said that the cramps and bleeding occurred monthly.

Einar/Lily's nosebleeds were caused because of his panic,anxiety,stress and pressure of hiding his true identity along with his bad diet.He didn't eat too much because he wanted to make his body look more feminine without additional weight.

I think the stomach pains were because he stopped eating to attain a feminine figure.

The nose bleeds were probably stress.
