I got the DVD on sale and bought it specifically to see the scene where the camera shows Eddie's junk (yes - it is HIS, no camera cuts from a body double).
The rest of the movie is nothing but him feeling sad and scared. It seemed to go on forever. NOTHING HAPPENED - except that his/her wife stayed by his/her side, crying the whole time.
Bleah! "Boys Don't Cry" was a much more compelling (indeed violent) film.
"Don't call me 'honey', mac." "Don't call me 'mac'... HONEY!"
So, you bought this film about the terribly difficult (and finally lethal) experiences of the first transgender woman to undergo sex reassignment surgery just so you could "See Eddie Redmayne's junk", and you're complaining that " nothing happened"?
I'd say that the film completely met your expectations... You saw his "junk". I suspect the finer details...plot, performances, meaning...might be beyond your comprehension.
