Donovan Irish accent.....

I was wondering wondering how accurate is his Irish accent? I know that Americans aren't known for giving accurate foreign accents...

Netflix has a season 4 ep. 19. "The Fall of Sam Axe". Runtime 1h 28 min. I do not see it listed on IMDB.

it was a stand-alone prequel (TV) movie that aired between seasons 4 & 5

What's this have to do with his accent?

Donovan is of Irish Descent from Boston with Irish relatives in the area. So he heard it a lot as a kid and yeah, I'm guessing it's pretty accurate. Plus his emphasis of study at NYU Theater Program was in accents and dialects. Not being Irish myself, I can't say for sure, but I'm thinking he probably did a decent one for an American.

Trust me it was not, as it was changing from a Cork to a Kerry one with a touch of Belfast thrown on top

That explains it !! Two of the things I liked about the show were Donovan's multitude of different accents, > 10 ( there has _never_ been another TV series where a leading character got to do so many accents ), and I also like the narratives explaining when some leading characters are doing something subtle and technical even if they are bull*sh*t sometimes (like wrapping a battery wires around a lugnut iron to create interference and jam an ankle transmitter) ...
