The story: Superb
The casting, acting and direction: Perfect
The cinematography and production design: Opulent
I loved the characters: I found myself thinking how I loved them ALL. This made the film an absolute delight.
The cinematography: OMG. I was literally spellbound by the compositions and remarked to my wife that every second shot was literally an oil painting.
It's nice to see someone else appreciates this film (as well as Ms. Campion) as much as some of us who've been on this board awhile do!
My only regret is that it simply did not garner enough awards...to suit ME anyway! lol
