Boring?
I usually love all historic drama especially true stories (or based on) but this was so boring, I felt cheated out of time and money.

What? Did you say something? Your comment was so boring I nearly fell asleep.
What a pity your reply misses many marks and so does your taste in films.
I think she's the saddest girl ever to hold a martini.
In answer to your question: Nope! Perhaps tentative, but not boring...
"I've been turned down more times than the beds at the Holiday Inn; I still try"
I thought it was incredibly boring. I remember seeing the trailer about a year ago and I never wanted to watch it until I saw it. Then a week ago i watched Pride and prejudice on television. And a friend said she liked The Young Victoria so I watched and loved it. Then I thought well I love Pride and Prejudice and The Young Victoria (which was deemed slow by some)was amazing so I'll give Bright Star a chance. And I sensed in the beginning that it was boring but I thought it would get better. Halfway through I lost interest and stopped caring. I didn't buy the love story and I didn't feel sad at all at the ending.
I do feel that Abbie might have been good but she had the weight of the movie to carry that her possible good acting was wasted. Plus the lead male was just not captivating as Rupert Friend or Matt MacFadyen.
TV taught me how to feel. Now real life has no appeal.
