I LOVED the music in this film!

I wasn't a big fan of the movie itself, but the music is just incredible! The visuals were amazing too.

I agree. Some of the scenes were so beautiful I'd like to frame them and hang them on my wall. The music set a beautiful mood, like a beautiful bittersweet summer day. I didn't love the story, but I loved the mood it set. It makes me want to grab a book of poetry and sit next to an open window.

@au-grad...i had the same thought...especially the scene where she is sitting on the bed and the curtain is floating by her face...i wanted a snapshot to frame...so many scenes were breathtaking ...perfect with the music

Yes, the music was fabulous--simple, not overly manipulative like many scores, and just beautifully delicate. Mark Bradshaw, the composer, was only 25 when he did the score. I can't wait to see what he does in his career!

Campion has always created films with stunning visuals. I would love for more people to see some of her other work and watch for the tableaux she creates. The camera holds for just a moment on a scene in stillness and it will be just perfection. I'm thinking in particular of Sweetie.

But in this film she found her equal in sound.

"I'd never ask you to trust me. It's the cry of a guilty soul."
