I've heard some good things and was sad I missed it on TV here a few weeks ago, think it was on BBC somewhere. I've heard good things about Abbie Cornish? I'm curious, I love period dramas and reading the classics.
How could you have missed this when it came out and after all this time if you love period dramas and the classics? This is a physically beautiful film for one, capturing the era, the people, and the environment so completely, with such a visual richness that so enhances the story. Secondly, the poetry is interwoven so delicately within that it becomes as alive as its poet. Thirdly, this is such an endearing story, so well told. Praise for everyone involved, the actors, director/script writer, costume designer, cinematographer, lighting, music director, art director...just everyone.
