Only a 6.9?

I really don't get people sometimes. What is it with small films getting below 7.0?

It's an ordinary high school day. Except that it's not.

This is a shame. The ratings here were much higher the last time I looked. Such a beautiful film and obviously under-appreciated!

I think this movie deserves at least an 8, I personally give this a 10. What a gem....

Yes it's a shame the rating is so low!

We should keep bumping this thread until the score goes back up -- I think there are just random idiotic trolls that wander from art-film message board to art-film message board posting stupid comments and giving the film a low score just to be obnoxious and get attention for their dumb threads. This film was by far one of the very best of the year when it was released in 2009, and it has a 3.5 rating on a 4.00 scale (per the cable provider). It has a score of 83% (fresh) on the tomato meter at Rotten Tomatoes.

So the low score is not fair and not appropriate. Let's try our best to fix it.

I pay very little attention to the rating scores on IMDb. There's no accountability. People rate films that they've never seen nor intend to see. As a result I often don't even rate the films myself, much less read the scores.

It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it. RIP Roger Ebert

I agree! I'd love for the score to be higher! Glad you agree.
