I met him last week when he was in London, and he was the sweetest kid ever, so polite and such a sweet smile.

Then i watched Joshua!

OMG I just sat there going thats so not the kid who I had such a normal conversation with. Lol

Just proves hes a good actor if he can be demonic, completely unlike his natural character.

yeah, that's it. that's how you know for sure.

when you see that he's capable of scaring you,
so convincible, that you forget that he's just a normal boy,
and not a sycho.

It's amasing how good young actors are these days.
And have such powerful, convincible performances, that
tops actors in their 20es and 30es.

Surprisingly good

Oh, the humanity...

Yeah, I think that speaks to how kids are really growing up a lot faster these days. I think I would give most credit to the internet. Now kids aren't being kept from information they are curious about by parents who try to hide the truth about things from them thus keeping them naive as long as possible. Why I ask?

If a kid is smart enough to question something, in my opinion, then they are smart enough to get an honest answer. Too many parents underestimate the intelligence of kids these days, thus lying to them about certain topics (with good intentions) in an attempt to protect them, but ultimately they are just making the child that much more curious about the topic, and they go off and find their own answers. In my opinion, parents should respect their children's intelligence more, and their ability to understand things.

It all comes down to: where do you want your child getting their information from? You, or their friends? You, or the internet? You, or some predator online? Again, children are smarter than adults give them credit for, and they need to start treating them that way. This also can help create a more trustful bond between you and your child, and they will come back to you in the future when they have important questions. However, if you lie to them, placate them, tell them that they are too young to be asking such questions, or even yell at them, they won't come back to you. However, I digress.

Yes, he is a great child actor, and his ability to play such a role, as I started out saying, I believe is a sign of children being more intelligent these days. I don't think you would have seen a child actor playing this kind of sordid role 30 years ago. The closest thing I can think of is Jodie Foster (one of the more famous child actors) in Taxi Driver, which I believe came along with some controversy, having a 14 year old playing that kind of role.

I met him, too, in Las Vegas a few months back. He definitely is a lot cuter than as 'Joshua' and was a very nice young man.

What a killer actor!

@Jack skellington freke:

Hmmmm...I certainly did NOT feel sorry for 'The Good Son'. I DID feel just a bit sorry for the kid in the first 'The Omen' movie.

Feeling sorry or not for the 'Joshua' kid is a good question. I did not revile or hate him. I don't know about feeling sorry for him though. Interesting....
