Some say the boy was infatuated with the uncle?

I did not see that. I mean I knew he loved him but I didnt see anything over the top that would point out that he wanted to live with him.

This ove was good but it way confused me. I like thought provoking movies but I also need someone to explain something if Im lost. LOL

I pretty much got everything except the correlation of the song (The Fly I think) and the boy.

Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks guys!!

(possible spoiler) In the beginning, when uncle Ned is playing piano with him, the uncle is made out to be the favorite, the understanding one, the 'cool uncle' that understands Joshua's gifted nature and can appreciate his many refined talents. When the new baby comes home it's a problem for Joshua that he will no longer get his parents or his uncle's undivided attention. The movie makes it out at the end, that he had planned all of these things in advance, the baby crying, messing with the baby's formula, killing the dog, the animals at school, making noises in the crawl space upstairs, plotting to get rid of the grandmother, make his mother crazy and frame his father, all to live with his uncle. But, I'm not believing that completely. There would be no point for him to kill the animals at school, or leave videotape where he could get caught, if he really was as smart and as perfect in his planning as the movie makes it out to be in the end. I also don't believe his parents (especially his dad) couldn't have gotten out of their respective situations. His parents were rich and his dad probably made bail. His mom was probably committed voluntarily. Maybe the court would have appointed the uncle temporary custody, but they still could have gotten the incriminating items out of the apartment in time. Also, as other threads have mentioned, the film alludes to a possible incestous relationship between mother and uncle (Ned), he calls Joshua 'my boy' and says on more than one occasion that their is mental instability in the family. The uncle is portrayed to be gay, you wonder if there has been some sort of history there between them that they both have mental / sexual issues, also after the new baby comes Abby acts like she wants nothing to do with her husband until she gets all crazy. There is definitely a link portrayed between her craziness and sexuality.

Shed some light on the correlation of the song?? Sure!

Read the title of your post as a statement, not a question...

There you go!

Are you fvcking mentally disabled? I ask that in all absolute seriousness.

Who said anything about a sexual relationship?

All I said was the boy was infatuated with the uncle. That is a fact. He always preferred the uncle over his actual parents, and by the end that became a potential motive behind his actions.

Pull your head out of your ass please.
