loved seeing the dad hit the kid

maybe there's something wrong with me but i really enjoyed that kid getting smacked repeatedly. it was very satisfying to watch. the dad was the best character in the film.

That scene made my day! I was like: he finally got what he deserved. This was a very effective movie. I loved it.

He should have gotten an Oscar for this movie haha. He wasnt taking any of Joshua's *beep* I loved how he told him so bluntly "go to bed." Kid got what he deserved with that smacking in the park.

A question though, was there something about Through the Looking Glass with the statues being in the movie? Like some parallel or metaphor? just curious

I found it hilarious when the dad cut him off and said "go to bed". Finally a movie that doesn't wait until the very end before allowing the FATHER to figure out that his child is the bad seed.

Sam Rockwell is an awesome actor. He always delivers!

Something about your response makes me think that you're still at the maturity level of a child: thinking that intellectual superiority (self-assumed at that) entitles abuse of those around you. Your viewpoint, if legitimate, is pathetic and petty, making you inferior to anyone that you know with your sadistic ways. I hope this isn't your real outlook on life, and further, I hope you realize over time that your view as a child isn't something to be looked up to, as it's morally, not to mention intellectually petty and stupid.

This part made me crack up because Ive never seen it in a film before. Also the part where he chain locks the bedroom door and leaves joshua out. Hilarious.
