How convenient... (spoilers)

How convenient that the kidnapped cardinals were dumped at the markers to the church of illumination (or whatever it was called). They literally could have been left anywhere in Rome to die, but at least they were at the points Hanks was tracking down and in the order he was finding them so one could be saved and tell them it was going down at the Church of Angels. Although that only lead them back to St Pauls where they started so it really didn't affect the overall plot.

Yes, I know films require suspension of belief. So i'll just have to let it go... like the guy with the gun not thinking about shooting the glass as the oxygen ran out.

Is this it?

Well it's not a coincidence ... remember the kidnappers tape in the beginning!?

We will brand your Preferiti and sacrifice them on the altars of science,
those altars are those 4 places that langdon was trying to find! The path of illumination!

Personally I can't get over the two cops who broke their orders to follow Langdon to catch the killer at the last location not using their comms to call for back-up and alerting their bosses to the location of the perp and potential victim - particularly in light of the fact that they knew this killer to be extremely ruthless and proficient, having just butchered many of their fellow officers. And then, having found their suspect, they approach him one at a time and out of sight of each other! One really has to describe that as suicide rather than murder!

"Oh good, my dog found the chainsaw..."
