Does anyone know what the ring is that Connor wears around his neck? It's just quietly there throughout the series but I can't find reference to what it's for. In Series 4 episode 3(?) when Connor gets the ARC out of lockdown, as Jess runs for the medic to help Phillip, he kisses it, then runs after her.
Anyone? Anything?

It could be a replica of Lord of the Rings, he loved Lord of the Rings reference in second episode of the first season1

I was wondering that myself, it would have been nice if he used it to propose to Abby. It is weird that he's obviously wearing it in every episode but they never make mention of it.

But he did! Well... Sort of. In the very last episode (after Abby whispers something to Connor while they're in the future and he gets that look of shock/happiness) there is a moment where they (if I remember correctly) are in deep conversation while the camera is not paying attention. Afterwards, it is no longer around his neck.
I can't remember if they show her hand at all but the assumption is that she is wearing it.
