Anyone seen the American version yet?

I've only seen one full episode and I wasn't entirely impressed. It has some of the same spirit as the UK series, but the characters keep referring to every single creature as a dinosaur.

The writers know that the Gorgonopsid and the Future Predator weren't dinosaurs right?

There isn't an American version of the show. Nor is one planned. So no one could have seen it.

Um, yeah there is actually, it aired on SyFy channel literally the same day I made the post.

And here's the link to the page on SyFy to make you look like a complete dipstick. Enoy.

You need to pay more attention. Try pulling your head out of your âśś. The view is so much clearer that way.

Primeval New World was a CANADIAN production. It aired in the 2012-13 season, premiering on October 29th, 2012 and ran through February 19th, 2013. It was subsequently canceled on February 21th, 2013.

It's old news. Who smacked up side the head with the stupid stick?

So again moron, there is NO AMERICAN version. You would have known that if you had bothered to actually READ the link that you posted. It quite clearly states that it's a Canadian production that takes place in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Or in your case, that would be Canaduh.

Some people think anything aired on SciFi(no other way to spell it for me) is American made.

That said, it was not old news to us in the US as it did not air for us at the same time it did in Canada, so it was "new" news to us. It aired for us this summer, not October of 2012 through February 2013. So while I understand you're frustration, there was no need to be that harsh to the original poster.

I kind did it because of his rude response to my neutral first post. If you write that sort of thing you better be damned sure you're correct. And since we have the internet, things are generally available, especially tv shows, just few hours after wherever they are broadcast first.

Canada is in north America the last time I checked

It wasn't that good. Also many of the Canadian produced shows (almost all of SyFy's movies and dramas are produced therethe entire Stargate franchise, Warehouse 13, Haven, Continuum, Defiance, etc.) are either set in America and are aired in America. Now we Americans have some shows that are set in other countries as well so to assume that a show is produced in Canada because it is set in Canada (so many people do not pay attention to the end credits even if SyFy hasn't shrunk them to microscopic size) without knowing, Canadian accents are hard to hear if they are covering well ('chewsday' instead of 'Tuesday', 'shedual' instead of 'schedule' etc.) So people assume.

Sorry to be so long winded, but I hope it helped.

According to IMDb the first airdate for episode 1 of the 'North-American spinoff of the popular U.K. show' was June 8, 2013. It could be wrong as IMDb is not known to be perfect but they are fairly accurate. It also could explain the misconception that it is an American show.

I_B_Snafu,

The first episode of Primeval: New World aired October 29th, 2012 and ran through February 19th, 2013. It was subsequently canceled on February 21th, 2013.

I watched it nearly real time as they were aired and downloaded the episodes in October 2012 and early 2013.

I couldn't have done that if they aired in June 2013 without access to anomalies or a time machine.

I don't know where you're getting your information because IMDB is saying it was premiered in June 2013. See the link I enclosed, for the IMDB page that has it listed as airing 2012.
