Set in the year 2009?

I recall in the pilot, Jake mentions that he's 32 years old (when talking with his parents about the money his grandfather left him), but in episode 5 at the end, Hawkins is looking at "flagged passports" and Jake's passport is shown with his date of birth as 21 Jan 1977. Wishful thinking on CBS's part, or perhaps not well thought out on part of the script writers?

Looks like it's a writing goof. At the end of Episode 8, the mercenary (DB Sweeny) looks through Eric's wallet and Eric's Kansas DL has a date of birth of 09/21/77. I guess it could be possible that the two brothers were born exactly 8 months apart...
