'Jericho' Producers Ink Overall Deal With CBS Television Studios (Exclusive)

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/jericho-producers-ink-deal- cbs-606657

Junction Entertainment has signed a two-year deal with the studio for broadcast, cable and digital media projects.

Note:
Junction's deal with CBS was not renewed in 2011. For the last two years, Junction Entertainment, has been under contract to ABC. They developed two scripts for ABC, but neither got a pilot greenlight.

As far as I can tell, Junction has no projects in the current pilot season (mid-season 2014).

Junction has had three series that made it on the air: Jericho, Harper's Island and Common Law.

The new contract now includes digital media projects.

It is my believe, that this deal takes us one step closer to the CBS-Netflix contract to bring back Jericho.

reply

Never going to happen. Jericho is dead. Majority of the cast has moved on other projects.

reply

Looks like it's coming back.

that article is from August, which was 6 months ago? Still not on the air anywhere..

reply

What's worse, that article makes an utterly nonsensical leap suggesting that because the makers of Jericho have a deal with CBS, that means Jericho is coming back.

The ridiculousness of that assertion is limitless... That's exactly like saying, if Steven Spielberg is working on a film for Universal, that means he's working on a sequel to E.T. Their deal has nothing to do with Jericho.

reply

Yeah, but none of them have hit it big time, IIRC , after Jericho so they could come back for a short Netflix season of 12 episodes .

reply

I doubt it. Season 2 ratings was pretty bad. I don't think it will be a hit on Netflix as House of Cards are. Also with Lennie on Walking Dead I doubt Jericho would same without him. Also it been almost six years most people probably moved on
