IS there a possibility that they could bring the show back as reboot on netflix new cast, no writers but same premise and same story? As much as I would want to see a third season the next best thing could be a reboot of the whole series.
sharepossible but doubtful. Seasons 3 and 4 are in comic book form published by IDW. I'm guessing the rights belong to creators and original staff. They'd have to sell.
shareI read somewhere that Netflix actually bought all of Jericho rights to tv/film. Im pretty sure it was on here sometime in the last year.
shareI don't think so. Last I heard they were still hammering out the details with CBS. CBS signed the Jericho creators on to make new shows, though.
Anyhoo to the OP, I doubt they would bother to reboot Jericho when they can come up with an original facsimile of their own. I mean CBS already basically did it with their version of Under the Dome. Furthermore how often are TV shows rebooted in the same country within the same decade? It happens but it's very rare, much more rare than in film.
I wouldn't be surprised if Netflix does a post-apocalyptic show eventually, but it'd probably be more in line with The Walking Dead than Jericho. Hopefully it would absorb some of the best aspects of Jericho though.
