The first 5, to be exact, and I see it only ran 2 seasons and the second season was only 7 episodes. I'm wondering if I should continue watching because it seems like it was cancelled in the middle of the second season so there won't be any kind of resolution at the end of the episodes.

Watch on. The series was originally cancelled after season one. After a massive fan campaign, they decided to make a shorter season 2. Season 2 provides enough closure to satisfy.
We just finished our third rewatch of the entire series. One of our favorite shows.

The resolution is actually great. Personally, one of my favorite endings for a TV show. They brought it back primarily just to give it closure.
