After the allied states took his Nuke and blew up the entire east side of the USA he and his wife + son (Jenny and Dwayne) went towards Georgia with fake ID's ala their names on this show, however the nuclear fall out from the blast was a new type of radiation, plagued with a disease that turns people into walkers. shareNo... Don't ruin Jericho with Zombies. One of the best parts about Jericho is that it was a realistic post-apocalyptic story that DIDN'T have Zombies. The Walking Dead has RUINED the genre for years now because ever since it started damn near every post-apocalyptic movie/show/game/book that has come out has featured zombies in some way, which is frustrating to a long-time fan of the post-apocalyptic genre like myself. I miss the days when zombies were just a niche part of the genre instead of the main feature of it.

I actually think Angry's premise is a perfect fit. Especially given the fact that in an earlier season of Walking Dead that researcher told Rick that everyone is infected with the walker virus because it's "in the air".
However, I do agree with you David. Jericho was way ahead of it's time and I'd hate to see them ruin it's realistic plot line with zombies. If they were to do a full reboot of Jericho now would be the perfect time to do it. They could use the current middle east/Russia/Allies situation as the basis for the nuking of the US.
Makes me wonder how it could've been if AMC took this show up in 2007 before it eventually got dropped.
TWD may or may not have happened and instead, we get a 5-7 season show full of infinite possibilities.
Jericho was not realistic. It was fun, but not realistic. Except Lennie James, he made it feel real
