Does this show get an actual ending?

Just curious before I decide to get into it. No spoilers, but does the show get a proper ending, or does it have an open-ending? I'm assuming that because it had only two seasons it was cancelled.

The show has two different series finale episodes. One is a cliffhanger (the one that aired on TV) and the other (the alternate finale) wraps things up somewhat but leaves things open for a possible sequel. yes. the show was brought back for a shortened second season (7 episodes) to wrap things up and give answers to big questions. The ending is somewhat open ended in that it implies the story goes on, but it is definitely a satisfying ending in my opinion.

Did anyone read the comics? Supposedly that was supposed to follow up on what happened after the season two finale.

I don't read comics but I did read the ones for Jericho because I enjoyed the show so much and the comics actually wrap up everything very well.

The show was going to be cancelled after one season but there was such a strong fan campaign that they brought it back and wanted to reward the fans with a finale that could serve as a satisfying conclusion if it needed to.

You'll get an ending... A bad ending though, if you want the good ending the you'll need to read the comic's
