Clive Barker in his most boring and basic

When will the world see IMAGICA or THE GREAT AND SECRET SHOW?

How about WEAVEWORLD?

Instead, we get these bonehead horror crap that the older one becomes the
more boring and simpleminded they reveal themselves to be.

All of Barker's works that seem to go to Film are the boring early stuff.
The stuff that fixates on human flesh and gore.

His cerebral stuff that addresses the larger metaphysics gets ignored.

Perhaps he wants it that way as to never have to match his written word to film?

Who knows.

At this point, the man's Art is a glimmer of its once broad spectrum.

I agree completely... when I watched this and never thought I'd seen such a utter waste of time before.

I think Midnight Meat Train the movie is a rather lackluster affair. That said, I ,can see why filmmakers prefer to make his short stories rather than his more deeply thought out novels into movies: Weaveworld or Imagica would require lengthy film's (maybe more than one) with a lot of time and effort put into into a a project unlikely to generate huge audiences. By making cheap versions of Barker's more straightforward horror stories, filmmakers assume less financial risk than would be be the case if they made his best work into movies. I don't necessarily agree with the sentiment, but I understand it. Consequently I expect lackluster adaptations of superficial short stories rather than intricately plotted adaptations of Barker's best work.

Requiescat in pace, Krystle Papile. I'll always miss you.

I LOVED "The Great and Secret Show"/"Everville" - I've read them multiple times. If they were to make those books into movies, they'd have to really stretch it to get in all the good details; it would most likely be a 4 movie series. I'd go to see it, though!
