This movie had a lot of problems...like the two little boys.

Lol, what parants would let their two little boys on a train at 2am. to sell some candy? & why was it called "midnight meat train? it was always 2 o clock .& I didnt know so many models, buisiness men & kids always got on a train at 2. there was a whole lot more problems Lol,but i dont feel like typing but whatever.

They seemed more like teenagers to me. Teenagers doing as they pleased in an urban area. And a model is even more plausable. She could have been partying it up or going to a work related event.
And "Midnight Meat Train" just sounds better than "Sometime After Two O'Clock Meat Train".

And a little help comes in a little glass vial and a gun pressed against her anatomy.

They looked about 11 or 12. & a model miqht, but not alone like that .

In the short story, Leon gets on the midnight train. Hence the title. Why the moviemakers decided to make it a train at 2 AM I'll probably never know.

Just rewatched it and maybe you should too cuz those guys are easily 18...12 definitely not

reply

The 2 boys selling candy? They weren't even close to being 18...

reply

I JUST watched the movie -- minutes ago -- and those two guys selling candy were certainly much closer to 18 than they were to 12. They were at least 16 years old, zero questions asked.

reply

maybe 15-16, that part was ok, I used to walk around and take trains or buses when I was 15 in my city...

but the model wouldnt go out alone at that time without taking cab to reach home...

The model looked like a tough city girl who most certainly would take a subway at night. Modern, independent women don't need limos and someone to hold the door open for them. Especially if they are from the city. Not too long ago i saw Paris & Nicki Hilton on the subway, up around Central park. They were wearing big hats and dressed down but people recognized them, and nobody bothered them. what I found unrealistic about this film is how the photographer's airhead wife just walks into the hotel room of the butcher. how did she get into the building? and how did she know which room was his? and why would she even go there in the first place? Not very believable, but still a solid horror film..

Look at the cast in IMDB and what you see : one was 20 when the movie released and the other 25. Just as simple as that.

reply

It's common for actors to be older than the characters that they play, so that doesn't say much.

reply

were they werthers originals?
why did vinnie stand up?

women only like trumpets and bookmarks.....

Because a train terminating at midnight in a major city is not believable. 2am is more realistic.

they seemed about 14, and seemed unreal with the whole "candy" thing. at first i thought they were talking about DRUGS but then i realsed they actually were selling candy at 2am at a train. ya right....

reply

I'm assuming everyone mentioning the candy thing as proof of them being little boys does not live in a heavily populated city. I've been asked to buy candy from grown men on subway platforms, street corners, etc. They just buy a bulk box of candy from Costco or something, and then claim profits go to their school's sports team (or their child's) for jerseys, etc. I can't even remember the last time I saw 10 yr old Boy Scouts selling candy.

Most people on this site think a plot hole is something they didn't like or a bad decision made by a character.

The word gets thrown around way too much by people that don't know what it means. Almost like another of my favourites, "No redeeming qualities." A phrase that should be stricken from the IMDB site altogether.

This, lol. Silly little OP.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

Little boys? Those kids were teenagers, and they looked pretty tough actually, like inner-city kids that can take care of themselves. I've seen kids alot younger than them running wild on the subway at 2am..

I just watched it and I don't remember them being little boys. They were probably 21-25. They were definitely adults and they can do whatever they want, obviously. As for the business men, many different people board trains late at night.

reply

Yeah, I know a bunch of 25-30year olds that sell candy on the subway.

reply

I thought they were street-wise teenagers selling candy to support their sports team. They could be grade 11 or 12 and be riding a late subway. It didn't seem weird to me.
