More like this??

Can anyone name any more films about loners or people with social and interaction difficulties? Possibly that are also light and warm hearted too, but it doesn't matter if they're not.

Napolean Dynamite, though a different genre obviously. Many, many high school, tween films too. A Game of Thrones television drama (the character of Tyrion played by Peter Dinklage - his character develops a sharp tongue and wicked wit as a way to deal with suffering from dwarfism in a world where babies who have dwarfism are often executed or at least ridiculed their entire lives) to a certain extent. Spider-Man I guess could make the cut also. I guess Forrest Gump, The King's Speech could be mentioned in a way. I have a feeling none of these are quite what you're looking for however.

OH! "The Man From Earth" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0756683/ ) is a great example, though the main character's social awkwardness is more because he's slightly immortal and doesn't know how to tell his friends this before he leaves, less because he's maladjusted.

Here's some suggestions for movies you might want to check out:

The Graduate - Dustin Hoffman plays a socially-akward recent college grad who has an affair with the wife of one of his dad's coworkers

Harold and Maude - A morbid and suicidal young man named Harold finds joy and meaning in life when he meets and falls in love with an eccentric old woman named Maude

Submarine - A socially-awkward high school student tries to win the heart of a girl in his class while attempting to save his parents' marriage

Rushmore - A delusional prep-school student with an over-the-top personality tries desperately to win the heart of his teacher
