I am soooooo glad they didn't do that. There are so many ways that they could have gone for cheap laughs of tropes, but they deftly avoided them all. A perfect movie.
shareNo, was not expecting it, but I was seriously expecting his brother will be cheating on him with Bianca when he is putting her sleep, that some day he will go through looking at computer and will wanna try it with the doll in the room. If not his brother I was at least after sex speech (when you are man) expecting Lars losing his virginity to doll.

Right, but to Lars, Bianca wasn't about sex, but was a bridge from his world to ours. He didn't know how to connect with people so he had to learn how with her. And I think Margo was really who he was interested in, even if he didn't realize it right away.

Yes, admittedly I thought that in the beginning, but am glad they didn't go that route.
Really good movie. Though in real life, they would never have indulged him those whims, sadly. I say 'sadly' because of the way it played out, turning out to be a positive thing for Lars and all of them - it was a crutch he needed until he worked things out for himself. We all should be so lucky.
