Ridiculous premise and a ridiculous movie
First of all, no one would accept such a relationship and act like all was well, even in the most liberal town/city in the world.
They would have Lars sent to a psych hospital, especially his doctor who would recommend that he gets serious mental help.
Then there is Kelli Garner. Despite the fact that they made her to look frumpy, she is smokin' hot - just google her pics.
That and the fact that she would be attracted to an obvious creepy nut case further stretches the credibility of this movie.
Or are women really attracted to guys they can't have? Especially a guy that would rather be with a piece of silicon than with a real woman.
And no guys in the town were interested in her? - I would have been banging her like a drum. It seems that the only guy that was interested in her was used as a prop to make Lars jealous.
People are saying this movie is "cute". It's not cute, it's creepy.
And it's ridiculous.
I could spend more time picking it apart, but it's not worth it.
It's another insult to movie-goers by Hollywood. They have no idea how to make an entertaining, interesting movie.
Nowadays, it's all zombies, extreme violence, far-fetched stories, etc...
Not to mention the extreme gun violence in movies, only to have the same actors/actresses speak out against the right to own firearms.
Which also leads firearm ignorant people to believe that fully automatic guns are easily obtainable and have "clips" that never seem to run empty.
No wonder I haven't set foot in a movie theater in several years.
The guy is banging a piece of silicon and pretends she is his g/f and even has her "read" to school children, and this behavior becomes incrementally accepted which only furthers and enables his psychosis.
Please.
What the hell has happened to America?
This movie is just another symptom of the sickness that has ruined a once-great country.
