If you're not expecting this to equal or surpass the original then this film is bearable.
However if after the first one you were left wanting more than you will be disappointed.. as this is just the kind of exercise that kills the likelihood of a trilogy (direct to video award - I wonder why?).
A sequel that leaves you empty - like Jeepers Creepers 2.

It wouldn't be right to compare the two.
Wrong Turn 2 is a completely different movie and Joe Lynch has stated it's a homage to the 80's horror sequels (Evil Dead 2, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The hills have eyes 2) where as Wrong Turn 1 has it's roots more in Hills have eyes, 70's kind of horror.
Anyway I enjoy number two more. The corny acting, the dumb steriotypes and Henry Rollins being a badass!
I'd actually say that this is one of the few sequels which manages to better the original...
The one thing the original has in its favour is the presence of Eliza Dushku!
