an unorthodox interrogation

The movies description on IMDB says that it's about "A CIA analyst questions his assignment after witnessing an unorthodox interrogation at a secret detention facility outside the US."

There is nothing unorthodox about the interrogation, that's exactly how people are interrogated in a situation like this. This description is hypocritical.

After reading through the Wikipedia article on this movie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rendition_(film)
I am ashamed to find out that it was based on the true story of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalid_El-Masri
whom my country's police mistakenly arrested and extradited.

I am sorry and ashamed of my countries role in all of this.

Calling torture an "unorthodox interrogation" is typical of modern American euphemisms for their war crimes and abuses - i.e. enhanced interrogation techniques (torture), collateral damage (reckless killing of civilians), terminate with extreme prejudice (murder), redact (censor), unlawful combatants (either POWs or criminals that the USA does not want to treat as POWs or as criminals), terrorist (anyone that the US government dislikes), and of course extraordinary rendition (kidnapping).
