Three fantastic performances.

Kevin Bacon, Garret Hedlund and Aisha Taylor were all amazing in this movie, believable, sincere, cruel, kind, realistic, the real helpless dad, the real carenot gangbanger and the real 'bad things do happen' cop.

All three should have won awards.

Hell even John Goodman deserved some recognition, his role was tiny and the first I had seen him in since Coyote Ugly, but he reminded me of why I liked him in the first place. He's the big cuddly dad from Roseanne and also the guy who would snap the neck of anyone who hurt his daughters from Roseanne. To see him as a believable bastard was refreshing.

None of them deserved any award, especially Tyler. They were all awful in this.

I am not sure about awards...but, I would agree Kevin Bacon as has become expected gave his all in his role and I thought was great while the other 2 characters were good..
