So the cop's whole solution is, "Did you start it?" Did he START it? START it??? And then she has the nerve to say "God help you"? lol I understand this film is just exploitation, but man, that's just infuriating. He should've gone in there with napalm and just levelled that entire neighbourhood full of subhuman scum to begin with. "Start it." How ridiculous.

Then I love how the gang is white and the cop is black (and speaks like a human being, too boot, instead like like Tawana from da 'hood), 'cause the truth doesn't conform to the cultural marxism that is "political correctness." Pathetic hollyjews and their liberal agenda. Show it like it is, you snakes.

I agree with you on how stupid the cop was for basically saying hey you're on your own because he may have "started it". I agree that hollywood loves pushing agendas not sure about this one though having an agenda.

Couldn't agree more. Telling Bacon to do what the gang tells him??? What kind of police officer says that? Shouldn't she be protecting him? So dumb.

I think when she said that, she was referring to the cops outside- Kevin Bacon was supposed to listen to the COPS and do whatever they told him. Of course, those cops got horribly killed so it became a moot point. And Kevin didn't start it- they started it by killing his son!! But he damn well finished it though, lol

I think that this film takes place in some creepy, alternate universe where Kevin Bacon's segment of society (middle upper class, WASP-ish, white collar) are an enclave surrounded by a sea of degradation and crime.

Basically, all but 1% of the world has fallen into poverty and decay.

This does, after all, take place in the same universe as the SAW films.

Which explains why the Cops are so useless. They are obviously corrupt and have some sort of peace pact with the gang. Why else would they let them ride around robbing gas stations and killing people?

You're totally right because as we all know Al Capone was apprehended and imprisoned as a 17-year old and never built a criminal empire. The mafia are just a myth. Organised crime as a whole is a conspiracy.

Wake up, idiots. Gangs that are seemingly above the law exist everywhere, in even the most civilised of nations, police forces have to adhere to rules, evidence, witnesses, etc. If you think that every naughty person gets thrown in jail then you are a naïve fool.

The cop was sympathetic of what was going on around her but knew her hands were tied, the judicial courts' hands were tied and justice does not always prevail. It's cops like her that probably thank vigilantes and gang-on-gang violence because she knows that they can work outside of police procedure and 'settle *beep* once and for all.

Opinions are just onions with pi in them.

I know right, it has to be the most stupidest question by a detective in a movie, ever. After knowing that the gang executed his son, all she can ask is "who started it, did you start it?" OMG I felt embarrassed for everyone involved. Plus she was so effen annoying the entire movie, and then she yells at him in the hospital "this has to stop" just after they assassinated his wife and put his son in a coma, what a dumb bitch.

I agree, what kind of cop scolds and basically blames the victim especially that just had his family slaughtered? Nick should have filed a complain or even sued the police dept. for the hell he went through.
