not good but entertaining

like a lifetime movie quality with sex and drugs thrown in

Depends on your standard I guess. For me, a necessary quality of a "good" movie is that it is entertaining, and "The Dirt" wasn't Its Motley Crue for crissakes, It isn't like they didn't have enough material to work with. I admire them for trying to change the paradigm of moviemaking, but so far, Netflix can't make good movies.

I wish that they had cast Robert Sheehan to play John Corabi since Robert had a closer resemblance to what John looked like in the early to mid nineties.

Saw this the other day, I think it's better than a Lifetime film but I do agree, it's not that good but yeah, it has some entertainment value. In fact, the first hour of the film is just not appealing at all, but the last 30 minutes of the movie are noteworthy. This is when you start to see the human side of them rather than the first hour of just cartoon versions of themselves. But then again, the cartoon version was probably an accurate portrayal of these goofballs. They really were degenerates.

Crüe fans would probably really like this movie though. However, I can only give it a 4.5 out of 10 and on some days I might even consider myself a fan.
