Do people take pride in liking terrible movies? Is it a type of rebelion against people who don't like it or do they actually really enjoy the movie? And if you do, what other terrible types of movies do you like?

Decent spoof movies? Well a few that have already been said, the Hitchcock spoof for one, High Enxiety? Hilarious. Airplane, hilarious. How about Austin Powers?
All do something original whilst riping apart the core of what they try and represent, in often over the top, silly ways, that don't need to stoop to such stupid levels.
However this tripe does absolutely nothing progressive whatsoever. I'l admit I only turned it on every now and again to see if it was any good, but simply couldn't bring myself to watch more than a few minutes at a time.
What the hell where some of these actors doing? Did they not read the script? I'l admit though that some of the decent actors here havent been seen in a while and will most likely be doing it for the money. Which affirms my belief that hollywood really has gone down the sh%$ter, when some really good actors are renegated to this tripe.
The jokes are for 99.99% of the film, terrible, having little to do with the actuall films they are based off of anyway.
Whilst the rest simply attempts to half heartedly rip on the current MTV generation and what they will be accustomed to at a clear attempt to create a larger market. Honestly I tried to watch it, but I just couldn't.
Why do they insist on getting people to dress up in costume and dance in an R&B fashion continuously in order to get laughs? It just reaks of pure urgh.
Thats all I have to say about this film... urgh. Words cannot describe. I can merely grunt my displeasure.

I love spoofs. I hated this film. Go back and watch some good spoofs: Anything by Mel Brooks, Bananas by Woody Allen, More-or-less anything by Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker(and Proft), Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (the Reiner flick).... then ask yourself why those jokes actually work and why these ones don't. Is it because in Epic Movie we more-or-less only have references but with no jokes, and the jokes that we do have are almost all 3rd rate toilet humour jokes (and yes, I love toilet humour, too: "Bottom" is one of my favourite sitcomes of all time).

Well no. I wouldn't say it was good. I wouldn't say it was bad either; it doesn't deserve such high praise. But I do have to say that the best part was the Mel Gibson look alike.
sharei really enjoyed this movie. There are no rules to make someone laugh. I think this movie is underrated. Comedy has no boundaries. This movie did make me laugh so I will say that it is a good movie and I liked it.
shareYes, I really like this movie - I laughed all the way through it... I love spoof movies - big fan of the Hot Shots movies! The funny thing is, that the movies I've seen after Epic Movie, wasn't all that funny to me... I didn't like Disaster Movie or Meet The Spartans... They weren't funny at all... I kinda found them a big embarassing to watch...
So, maybe I'm just really weird... Normally I prefer action and sci-fi... But I've bought Epic Movie and watch it from time to time, when I just wanna relax and laugh!
