It's a shame that The Wizards Return was just a one time thing

Those of you that have read my other threads already know about my complaints on all the errors in this show. The errors are so numerous and so big that they really do drag the show down. However, in spite of all the errors the show is still fun to watch. (It would have been way more fun to watch without all those errors though). Anyway, starting from season 3 and onwards the show was indeed getting better and better, and there was less and less errors from season 3 onwards as well. The special effects were also slowly but surely improving from season 3 onwards. And just as the show was getting good it ended. :(

This is supposedly Disney's most successful show, is it not? So then why didn't they make a spin-off series? Disney has made spin-off's of shows that have had far less success than WOWP. So why didn't WOWP get a spin-off?

The "reunion special" titled "The Wizards Return: Alex vs Alex" was really good. It was easily the best episode of the show by far. I dare say that it was possibly even better than the movie. (Although the movie is still pretty damn good).

I'm surprised that Disney did not use The Wizards Return: Alex vs Alex to revive the show and make a 5th season. Or perhaps instead of a 5th season do a spin-off series. The 5th season (or spin-off series) could have been about Alex's life as a full wizard. Perhaps even with her taking on the responsibilities of training a new group of young wizards in training.

I think Disney missed an opportunity here. The Wizards Return: Alex vs Alex laid the groundwork for the show to go on. And seeing as the show was getting better with seasons 3 and 4 it's a shame they did not take this opportunity to make a season 5.

They still can do a spin-off series after they do a 2nd reunion with everyone in it this time, then maybe a spin-off series still with everyone in it.

They're doing a second reunion....when?

I think it probably ended at the right time. Sure I loved the show, but IMO it peaked quality-wise in Season 3. Plus Selena is way too busy these days to go back to WOWP, it would be counterproductive for her career. Even if she isn't having the success in film she deserves, her music career (for some reason) is doing great. She is the first of the main 3 (Selena, Demi, Miley) to score 3 Top 10 Hot 100 hits from one album.

The show was losing steam. I was tired of Alex and Mason. Justin and juliett was another romance. I wanted other storylines.
