YouTube has a video of DC's own Petey Greene instructing his TV audience on "How To Eat Watermelon". The secret, by the way, is to "be yourself". Petey would ALWAYS be himself, as this clip well shows. He was an extraordinary human being and I believe Don Cheadle is an equally remarkable actor to play Petey. damn, i added that video to my myspace page a long time ago just cause i thought it was funny. today i did a search for petey and found out about the movie. i didnt know who he was. i hope theres a scene in the movie about eating the watermelon.

Just caught Tavis Smiley & Don Cheadle talking about the movie: wasn't sure I heard right, a movie about Petey Greene?
Didn't know anything about him when I caught some local TV show he had in WDC in the late 70s, but I'll never forget him interviewing some, I don't remember, local activist, I think, & she's going on about her topic, & Petey interrupts her to tell her she "looks like the lady on Trapper John."* His guest was seriously speechless.
