No Award Recognition
I'm disappointed. TTM was one of the best films of 2007 and was virtually ignored during the awards season. The studio must have really not had much of a marketing budget for the film.
shareThe two male leads should've been considered, maybe even Petey's girlfriend, who was also very good. Totally robbed. I think that if it came out in December the story would be different. I'm not saying the movie is perfect, but the characters were really bought to life.
I'm also disappointed to see 3:10 to Yuma snubbed. Looking at the films nominated, however, the Academy really seems to be straying from more "conventional" fare as this, no matter how well done it may be. I think that's kind of sad.
