Crossing the border *SPOILER*
OK, so it's very hot the afternoon they're crossing into the U.S. -- "Sorry, kid, the A.C. is out," one of the smugglers says -- and then when the van is impounded, the windows are ROLLED UP and it's stored outdoors. Carlitos is trapped inside until nightfall and yet he pops up out of the seat and scrambles away like it was a comfy cat nap.
Wouldn't he have died under those circumstances? A cat would have. Isn't that what the smugglers were alluding to with their worried looks as the van is being towed away under the menacing sun?
Seemed unfair to the audience to leave that dramatic tension unresolved and completely ignore the dilemma.
