I just watched this for the first time today and when Carlitos gives Enrique his yo-yo (I think that's what is was) and says thanks for everything my heart sank and my eyes immediately began to water. That was the most beautiful part of that movie besides the ending. It was great to see Enrique really step up and change..Great, great movie.

shareI cried so much during this movie. And then, when He sacrified himself to the cops so Carlitos could run, I think thats when I was almost full-on sobbing. It was such a great mmovie and so many emotional moments. I'm going to have to buy it.
shareI think you are mistaken Enrique is the man who helps Carlitos find his mother, and he is the one who recieves the yoyo from Carlitos, the other homeless boy that was carlitos friends (dont know his name) is the one who recieves the walkman
shareI also cried when Enrique gave himself up to the police. That was a true mark of friendship. One of the best moments in movies that I've seen.

it was nice of him to distract the police for carlitos, but it really sucked how we never heard of the guy again. here's a guy that really helped out carlitos and stuck with him the most for the duration of this film, and it's so lazy to just drop such an important character and not get to see him again. when those credits rolled, my heart sank.
I think they left that for the sequel. lol
Come on, guy.. theyre not spoon feed you everything. Dude got arrested and probably will get deported. That stuff should be obvious without them needing to show you.
